Trade Operations Management Trainee
Key Responsibilities:
- Working at the Trade Operations Department and being responsible for the timely preparation of shipping documents in accordance with the requirements of the relevant shipment and/or Letters of Credit involved.
- Working in close cooperation with the Shipping and Trading departments for seaborn deliveries.
- Handling the operational processes of the shipments, including invoicing, documentation, L/C presentation, payment requests of vendor invoices, etc.
- Carrying out communication with internal and external parties, such as banks, customers, suppliers, surveyors, shipping agents, etc., during the handling of shipments.
- This position will be based in Istanbul, reporting to the Trade Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in logistics, international trade, business management, or a related field.
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Well-organized and result-oriented personality with attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with stress and work with deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work on his/her own initiative as well as being flexible, a team player, and a hard worker.
- Confident and assertive with excellent communication skills and a good understanding of different cultures.
- Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment.
